Astronumerology Forecast for February 2016

This year, February is defining the energy for 2016. We will get a chance to clarify our goals, look back at January and 2015 once again, reset our intentions for 2016 around the New Moon on February 8th, and start seeing the results towards the end of the month. It is a powerful month because, in addition to the New Moon, we have the Chinese New Year on February 8th that signifies the beginning of the year of the Fire Monkey. Monkey is imaginative, freedom-loving, and lively, and the element of fire represents inspiration, passion, energy, and creativity. February is preparing us to step into the energy of 2016 fully.

In numerology, 2016 is the 9 Universal year, the year of completion, letting go of the old and familiar patterns that bind us, and imagining new possibilities for our collective future. In this process of completing a 9-year cycle, it is important to trust your own feelings instead of denying or suppressing them. Regardless of where you are in your personal cycle, you will feel the desire for a meaningful transformation on some level of your life. February is the 2 month in the 9 Universal year, and, thus, it vibrates at a very high frequency of 11 (2+9). In its highest expression, it is the connection with the Divine, ability to receive insight on what needs to be done in any given moment, visionary abilities, and the purest expression of your unique individuality as an instrument of the Divine Will. February is a month when we will have a chance to connect with our vision and receive a blueprint for the year ahead.

The First Half of February
For the first half of the month, we might feel a need to make some adjustments in our life and in our thinking. Mercury, Venus, and Pluto gather in Capricorn and square Uranus, closing the cycle of Uranus/Pluto squares that we have been going through for a while now. This month, we are asked to let go of what no longer serves us, and it might feel a little uncomfortable, especially at the very beginning of the month.

You may notice that what you were thinking about and working on in January during Mercury retrograde (January 5-25) may start to come to fruition now, especially by the end of the month. You may reach a new level of clarity and insight and make important decisions. Things may start to really move forward now. The majority of the month is heavily colored with the energy originality, innovation, the love for freedom, creativity and experimentation of Aquarius.

New Moon in Aquarius on February 8th
On February 8th, we have a powerful new Moon in Aquarius that sextiles Uranus (the ruler of Aquarius). New Moon opens a new cycle in our everyday life. It’s a perfect time to reset our goals and intentions for the next 28 days. Aquarius is all about creativity and our interconnectedness at a global level of consciousness. It teaches us to contribute our unique and authentic perspective, regardless of what anyone thinks about it. Mars in Scorpio adds passion, direction, intensity, and purpose to what we want to create. This new Moon is pushing us to move forward fearlessly toward what we want, even if it is just a vision right now, so that we can express our individuality and passion in the world. Don’t be afraid to speak up, even if your views are different from the rest of the group you interact with. Showing your vulnerable side while speaking from the heart and standing up for what you believe will help you to reach a deeper level of authenticity and self-awareness. Whatever you will start in the two weeks following this new Moon will succeed, if it reflects your original ideas and unique creative spark. Aquarius is also connected to digital technology, service to others, and humanitarian and future-oriented projects.

Second Half of February
A big change in the energy occurs around the middle part the month, when Mercury and Venus also enter Aquarius and help us to see things with more objectivity. Mercury enters Aquarius on February 13 which helps us to get clarity on our creative ideas. It will stay in Aquarius until March 5th. It’s a great time to make progress on these new ideas, put them on paper, communicate them, and share them with other people. To add to this creative mix, Venus enters Aquarius on February 16th and will remain in Aquarius until March. This brings mental connections and exchange of creative ideas to the forefront in your love relationships.

Full Moon in Virgo on February 22
On February 22nd, we have a full Moon in Virgo, which brings a concrete approach and practical energy to bring those projects that we have started earlier in the month to completion. Since we have Jupiter conjunct the North Node, and Chiron is conjunct the South Node, this adds focus on growth, expansion, and inspiration to serve the humanity. You might feel an urge to organize your life, get rid of clutter, and clarify your intentions. While we are accomplishing a lot in the physical world and enjoying the creative aspect of our work, we shouldn’t forget about our physical bodies. If you had an ongoing health, diet, or exercise concern, now is the time to take it in your hands and handle it appropriately with an intention of completion.

The Sun and Neptune will be conjunct on February 28th, which bring a sense of inspiration. These two planets will stay together for the next 14 days, which will activate our imagination and sense of compassion and ultimate oneness. All of this is preparing us for the eclipses in March that will bring a lot of dynamic energy with them. I will write the forecast for March a week before the month begins.

Four Attitudes to Adopt This Month
Here are four main suggestions I would like make to all of us during the month of February. Consider them and make small action steps to implement these themes in your life, if they resonate with you now. Your intention is what matters here!

  1. Be kind to yourself. At least once a week, treat yourself like you deserve to be treated, do what you love and love what you do.
  2. Appreciate your unique skills, talents, and gifts. There is only one of you with your unique skillset, abilities, and combination of talents.
  3. Let go of what doesn’t serve you anymore in your life. Ask yourself what you would like to create in your life this year and then see if what surrounds you supports your intentions.
  4. Be authentically you. Wherever you go and whatever you do, remind yourself that you are there to shine your light as much as you can exactly where you are.
